Here’s a list of all the gear I’m bringing with me on the AT. It will be updated as I use gear and make changes or develop new opinions. As it stands I like all of the gear I’m listing here. I’ve either used the items first-hand or I’ve done enough research to feel confident in the item based on other reviews and other hikers’ opinions.  But first, I show you all of my gear in this video:

Here’s most of the Gear I’m using:

BACKPACK

My backpack on the AT is a Deuter 65+10 ACT Lite, but I found these good ones on Amazon. However I do recommend trying to find a lighter pack for thru-hiking – closer to 2 pounds – (this will be 4-5lbs) Deuter 50+10L Backpackhttps://amzn.to/3g3SpvT

I traveled with a girl throughout SE Asia using this backpack and it did very well for her. It says this one is designed for women because women tend to have wider hips and the bag is designed with this in mind.  Deuter 60+10L Backpack(Women)https://amzn.to/3dA9tIj

I really like this Osprey bag. Osprey is another excellent company. Osprey Kestrel 38L Backpackhttps://amzn.to/2Nsmk4D
